قال مهاتير محمد: لابد من ضرورة توجيه الجهود والطاقات إلى الملفات الحقيقية وهي: الفقر والبطالة والجوع والجهل... لأن الانشغال بالأيدلوجيا ومحاولة الهيمنة على المجتمع وفرض أجندات ووصايا ثقافية وفكرية عليه لن يقود إلى إلا مزيد من الاحتقان والتنازع..!!
فالناس مع الجوع والفقر لا يمكنك أن تطلب منهم بناء الوعي ونشر الثقافة..!!!
وقال: نحن المسلمين صرفنا أوقاتا وجهوداً كبيرة في مصارعة طواحين الهواء عبر الدخول في معارك تاريخية مثل الصراع بين السنة والشيعة وغيرها من المعارك القديمة..!!
نحن، في ماليزيا، بلد متعدد الأعراق والأديان والثقافات، وقعنا في حرب أهلية، ضربت بعمق أمن واستقرار المجتمع..!!!!
فخلال هذه الاضطرابات والقلاقل لم نستطع أن نضع لبنة فوق اختها..!!
فالتنمية في المجتمعات لا تتم إلا إذا حل الأمن والسلام ….
فكان لزاماً علينا الدخول في حوار مفتوح مع كل المكونات الوطنية، دون استثناء لأحد، والاتفاق على تقديم تنازلات متبادلة من قبل الجميع لكي نتمكن من توطين الاستقرار والتنمية في البلد….
وقد نجحنا في ذلك من خلال تبني خطة 2020 لبناء ماليزيا الجديدة.
وتحركنا قدما في تحويل ماليزيا إلى بلد صناعي كبير، قادر على المنافسة في السوق العالمية، بفضل التعايش والتسامح ….
وأضاف :
إن قيادة المجتمعات المسلمة، والحركة بها للأمام، ينبغي أن لا يخضع لهيمنة فتاوى الفقهاء والوعاظ..!!!
فالمجتمعات المسلمة، عندما رضخت لبعض الفتاوى والتصورات الفقهية، التي لا تتناسب مع حركة تقدم التاريخ، أصيبت بالتخلف والجهل..!!!
فالعديد من الفقهاء حرموا على الناس استخدام التليفزيون والمذياع، وركوب الدراجات، وشرب القهوة بل
وجرموا تجارب عباس بن فرناس للطيران..!!!!
وقال مهاتير:
إن كلام العديد من الفقهاء، “بأن قراءة القرآن كافية لتحقيق النهوض والتقدم قد أثر سلبًا على المجتمع.!!
فقد انخفضت لدينا نسب العلماء في الفيزياء والكيمياء والهندسة والطب، بل بلغ الأمر، في بعض الكتابات الدينية، إلى تحريم الانشغال بهذه العلوم..!!!
وبالتالي، أكد مهاتير على أن حركة المجتمع لابد أن تكون جريئة وقوية، وعلى الجميع أن يُدرك أن فتاوى وأراء النخب الدينية ليست دينًا.
فنحن نُقدس النص القرآني، ولكن من الخطأ تقديس أقوال المفسرين، واعتبارها هي الأخرى دينًا واجب الاتباع..!!!
وقال مهاتير :
“إن الله لا يساعد الذين لا يساعدون أنفسهم” ! فنحن المسلمين، قسمنا أنفسنا جماعات وطوائف وفرق، يقتل بعضها بعضًا بدم بارد، فأصبحت طاقتنا مُهدرة بسبب ثقافة الثأر والانتقام التي يحرص المتعصبون على نشرها في أرجاء الأمة، عبر كافة الوسائل، وبحماس زائد، ثم بعد كل هذا ذلك، نطلب من الله أن يرحمنا، ويجعل السلام والاستقرار يستوطن أرضنا..!!!!!
فذلك ضرب من الخيال، في ظل سنن الله التي يخضع لها البشر..!!!
لا بد من أن نساعد أنفسنا أولاً،
وأن نتجاوز آلام الماضي وننحاز للمستقبل ….
فنحن هنا، في ماليزيا، قررنا أن نعبر للمستقبل، وبمشاركة كل المكونات العرقية والدينية والثقافية، دون الالتفات لعذابات ومعارك الماضي.
فنحن أبناء اليوم، وأبناء ماليزيا الموحدة، نعيش تحت سقف واحد، ومن حقنا جميعًا أن نتمتع بخيرات هذا الوطن..!!!
