A serious political error by the leadership of the former organization of the National Front for the Liberation of Ogaden, not to use the name of the organization of integration, which was between the front and the organization of Siraj in London.
Both organizations merged into a new organization called the Somali Coalition for Freedom.
By virtue of that political reality, the Front was supposed to engage in political activity under this new political framework.
However, the problem is that the former front is still carrying out its activities through its former name, which suggests that it is not in the context of actual integration with any other political force, and the attempt to absorb the positive and swallow any political organization merged with them.
This comes in the context of a historical political reality in which the Somali political and social forces demanded the Front to change its official name represented in the National Front for the Liberation of Ogaden.
In the same context, change the name of the province in the literature of the front of Ogadenia to the Somali territory to win the many segments of Somali society, which wants a political mold sees itself through it.
Especially as the name of Ogadenia raises the sensitivity of many Somalis under Ethiopian occupation, who believe that the political definition of the territory is linked to the tribe of Ogaden, although a political justification has been established for this trend and named.
However, the complainants, in turn, ignore the absence of their participation in the struggle to achieve the freedom and land of Somali society. At the same time, they focus on political bargaining with the MILF and do not shy away from their submission to the Ethiopian occupation.
There is no doubt that the dilemma of an expansionist passive absorption of Rafiq's political organization in the struggle and the non-activation of the integration framework he has combined with the Ogaden National Liberation Front, will hurt Somali political forces in the Somali region or Eugadinia not wishing to engage in the future.
Which will result in the continued dedication of the reality of political disintegration of Somalia and the loss of weight in the face of Ethiopian occupation.
In October 2018 there was a political settlement between the Ethiopian government and the Somali party in Asmara, and raises the question why the party to engage in the settlement through the name of the National Front for the Liberation of Ogaden instead of the adoption of the framework of the Somali Coalition for Freedom?
And the question itself imposes another question is whether the agreement between the Somali and Ethiopian parties exclude the organization Siraj Somalia from that agreement ?!
And the problem does not stop at that juncture exclusively, but that the front is still engaged in all its activities urging the political confrontation before the merger!
The main problem is that the MILF has engaged with the Ethiopian government in an agreement signed in Eritrea without invoking an international body to ensure the implementation of the joint agreement on the ground, especially as the Front has a political experiment that is not encouraging with the Ethiopian state!
Do you see where the National Front for the Liberation of the Ogaden is heading ?!
