Until the situation is clarified, Israel has blocked incoming flights from Europe at least until midnight.
The ban is in effect from 10:30 am until midnight (Tues. Mar. 22), at least until the security situation is clarified.
Outgoing flights from Israel to Europe are not affected by the security measure.
The Israel Aviation Authority (IAA) has opened a situation room at Ben Gurion International Airport to manage the ongoing crisis and help keep airline passengers updated.
Passengers are being asked to have patience with the extra security measures and to check the schedule board at the airport for updates.
Three flights were set to arrive in Israel today from Brussels.
According to the IAA, 24 flights are affected by the ban, which took effect at 10:30 am until midnight Tuesday night.
