Trump: Confront forces of chaos, turmoil and terror
President Trump urged world leaders to strengthen the security of their own people and at the same time promote the peace, prosperity and security of the world. He warned that rogue regimes and terrorists present dangers that threaten “everything we cherish and value.”
In his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Trump singled out North Korea, Iran and Venezuela as the gravest threats, but also warned of the perils that unresolved disputes “from the Ukraine to the South China Sea” hold for sovereignty and peace.
“We must uphold respect for law, respect for borders and respect for culture, and the peaceful engagement these allow,” he said. “As the founders of this body intended, we must work together and confront together those who threaten us with chaos, turmoil and terror.”
