On Monday, the United States held an official ceremony in Jerusalem for the transfer of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem under US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and transfer it to the US embassy. The historic ceremony was attended by the daughter of American President Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kouchner, and on the Israeli side, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin.
US and Israeli spokesmen insisted that the move to move the US embassy to Jerusalem was in the interest of peace in the region and that the move would not change the status quo in the holy sites.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the ceremony in Hebrew saying that he was born and raised in the city until the age of 3 years, but he was not able to cut the boundaries that divided Jerusalem, but today under President Trump everything changed.
