The name of the book: the clash of civilizations and the rebuilding of the world order
Author: Samuel Huntington
Huntington is a professor of political science at Harvard University and one of the most famous thinkers in the United States. In his book "The Clash of Civilizations and the Reconstruction of the Global System," Huntington offers theoretical ideas in this context and offers many proofs and evidence to support his theoretical ideas. Among the topics and issues addressed are: the idea of civilizations, their problems, human or cosmic civilization, the relationship between power and culture, the changing balance of power among civilizations, the culturalization of non-Western societies and the political structure of civilizations. The renaissance of the Chinese forces, the causes and dynamics of the wars of the fault line (between civilizations), the future of the West and the world of civilizations. The fundamental thesis of this book is that culture or cultural identity, which in its broadest sense is the cultural identity, forms the models of cohesion, disintegration and conflict in the post-cold-war world. Thus, the book consists of five parts containing 12 chapters, and these five parts are the expansion and development of the results of this main assumption: Part I: The author believes that for the first time in history, global politics is simultaneously multi-polar and multi-civilizations and that modernization is different from The raven. The second is about the balance of power among the changing civilizations; the west is retreating in its relative influence; the Asian civilizations are expanding their economic, military and political forces. Islam is exploding with the results of instability for the Islamic countries and their neighbors and non-Western civilizations in general. In Part III, Huntington spoke about the emergence of the global scale that is based on cultural diversity. There are societies that share cultural bonds that cooperate with each other, and nations gather themselves around the core, leading or larger nations of the same civilization.
In the fourth part, the author emphasizes the international and humanitarian claims of the West, which increasingly put it in conflict with other civilizations, and more seriously with Islam and China. At the regional level, the wars of fault lines, which are mainly between Muslims and non-Muslims, confirm the masses supported by a country shared by its civilization , Threatening to widen the boundaries of the conflict, and thus the major powers are making an effort to end these wars.
In the fifth and final section, Huntington asserts that the continued existence of the West depends on the Americans, who are far from asserting their Western identity and the people of the Western world. They have created their civilizations as distinct and not universal. They have united for the purpose of renewing and maintaining them against the challenges of non-Western societies.
The book of the clash of civilizations has occupied the masses and intellectuals for more than six years. I have written comments against the author of the thesis of the clash of civilizations by rejecting it. Some of them explicitly or implicitly support it, including those who propose a substitute for dialogue among civilizations. As the Arabs are more targeted in this new world and spreading awareness This thesis has been translated and analyzed its content, mechanisms and various implications for the world and the Arab world and its various implications, especially that this thesis performs multiple functions in the ideological system of the West.
In order to contribute to the definition of the underlying objectives behind the thesis of the clash of civilizations, the mechanisms and principles of the speech of the clash of civilizations had to be deconstructed.
