Lomborg criticizes medical journals for alarm about climate change

Lomborg criticizes medical journals for alarm about climate change by aletho clintel.org Danish scientist Bjorn Lomborg has reacted sharply on the claim of over 200 medical journals, earlier this month, that there are significant health risks to any temperature rise. He concludes that there are very basic mistakes underlying the alarmist claims and sent the following letter to the editor of The Lancet, one of the journals involved. Lomborg posted his letter on twitter. Below the full letter. Malmö, September 8, 2021 Dear Dr. Horton, I read with interest your co-authored editorial “Call for emergency action to limit global temperature increases, restore biodiversity, and protect health” published in BMJ (2021;374:n1734) and many other international journals. As a core argument you write that there are significant health risks to any temperature rise and document it with “In the past 20 years, heat related mortality among people aged over 65 has increased by more than 50%.” However...

Australia’s new nuclear submarines will have dangerous Highly Enriched Uranium, not the Low Enriched Uranium of the French ones. by Christina MacPherson

Australia’s new nuclear submarines will have dangerous Highly Enriched Uranium, not the Low Enriched Uranium of the French ones. by Christina MacPherson The United States and UK operate naval reactors in their submarines that are fueled with 93.5 percent enriched uranium (civilian power plants are typically fueled with three to five percent uranium-235) in quantities sufficient to last for the lifetime of their ships (33 years for attack submarines).Having resisted domestic efforts to minimize the use of HEU and convert their naval reactors to LEU fuel, the United States and UK have no alternative fuel to offer. France, on the other hand, now runs naval reactors fueled with LEU. The new Suffren-class submarine, from which the French conventional submarine offered to Australia was derived, even runs on fuel enriched below 6 percent. Until now, it was the US commitment to nonproliferation that relentlessly crushed or greatly limited these aspirations toward nuclear-powered submarin...

New Study Shows Vitamin D3 Can Inhibit COVID-19

New Study Shows Vitamin D3 Can Inhibit COVID-19 by aletho By Dr. Joseph Mercola | September 19, 2021 A study using active forms of vitamin D3 has shown that the vitamin’s metabolites can inhibit replication and expansion of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Summarized by Newswise, “researchers on this study say their findings help explain a possible mechanism for why low vitamin D levels seem to promote COVID-19 infection and poor outcome in certain individuals. This correlates to other studies showing a relationship between vitamin D deficiency and poor disease outcomes. More studies and clinical trials are planned to test the efficacy of vitamin D and lumisterol as an antiviral therapeutic for COVID-19 in animals and humans.” Study authors commented, “Active forms of vitamin D and lumisterol can inhibit SARS-CoV-2 replication machinery enzymes, which indicates that novel vitamin D and lumisterol metabolites are candidates for antiviral drug research.” In September 202...

FEC rules Twitter shadowbanning Congressman Matt Gaetz wasn’t election interference-By Cindy Harper |

FEC rules Twitter shadowbanning Congressman Matt Gaetz wasn’t election interference by aletho By Cindy Harper | Reclaim The Net | September 18, 2021 The Federal Election Commission (FEC) unanimously rejected a complaint by Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz against Twitter, alleging the social media company shadowbanned him in 2018. The complaint accused Twitter of election interference. In 2018, Vice reported that Twitter subjected Republican legislators, including Gaetz, to shadowbans, which limited the visibility of their accounts in search results. Following the report, Gaetz filed a complaint against Twitter with the FEC in July 2018. We obtained a copy of the complaint for you here. The FEC also recently ruled that Twitter’s suppression of the Hunter Biden corruption story was not election interference. Last month, all six FEC commissioners agreed that Twitter’s shadowban did not break election interference laws. Twitter explained that Gaetz’s account was shadowbanned because of be...

As we commemorate Constitution Day

As we commemorate Constitution Day 17 Sept 2021, 23:36 (20 hours ago) Good evening,  As you likely know, today is Constitution Day. Two hundred thirty-four years ago today, 39 of our Founding Fathers signed what would become the longest-lasting written constitution in history. The American Constitution has endured for 234 years because it was brilliantly conceived and based on the principles of liberty set forth in the Declaration of Independence. You and I benefit from the wisdom of our nation’s Founders to this day. Today, of course, there are powerful political and cultural forces working to undermine our Constitution and to replace the limited government it was designed to uphold with an all-powerful administrative state. Underlying the effort to replace our Constitution is the movement in American K-12 schools and universities to rewrite American history, portraying it dishonestly as a history of injustice and oppression—thereby destroying the basis of intelligent patri...

Clear vision needed for future of still-evacuated Fukushima areas by--- dunrenard

Access is restricted to the "difficult-to-return zone" in Futaba, Fukushima Prefecture.   Clear vision needed for future of still-evacuated Fukushima areas by dunrenard September 16, 2021 More than a decade after the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant accident, there remains more than 30,000 hectares of land where the evacuation order is still in place and is not expected to be lifted any time soon. The government recently announced a plan to rebuild ravaged communities in these areas near the crippled plant with high levels of radiation, known as “kitaku konnan kuiki” (difficult-to-return zone). Under the plan, the government will decontaminate the land and houses of local residents who want to return to their homes so that the order can be lifted by the end of the 2020s. Initially, the evacuation order covered more than 110,000 hectares. The measure was lifted for some 80,000 hectares by March last year. In 2017 and 2018, the government thrashed out a plan to designate som...

Afghanistan: Taliban to remove subjects contradicting Sharia from university curriculum

Afghanistan: Taliban to remove subjects contradicting Sharia from university curriculum SEP 16, 2021 4:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER Unfortunately, the report doesn’t list which subjects are considered to be contradicting Sharia. In any case, the Leftist Taliban in American universities is doing much the same thing, removing or deemphasizing subjects that don’t fit the far-Left agenda. That’s one reason why Leftists and jihadis get along so well: they’re both authoritarians who hate the freedom of speech and free inquiry. “Taliban to Remove Subjects Contradicting Sharia Law From University Curriculum,” Sputnik, September 13, 2021: MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Taliban’s* Ministry of Higher Education announced that it will remove subjects considered as running counter to the Islam’s Sharia law from the curriculum of Afghanistan’s universities. “Each subject that is against Islamic laws will be removed,” acting Minister of Higher Education Shaikh Abdul Baqi Haqqani said as quoted by the TOLO ne...
