Iranian President Hassan Rowhani said Wednesday (February 28, 2018) that his country is ready to talk to its Gulf neighbors on issues related to regional security without the need for any foreign presence. Rowhani made the remarks in the major Iranian city of Bandar Abbas at the mouth of the Gulf, which has been under regional tension frequently as a result of differences between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which have cut off diplomatic ties in January 2016.
