Growing Number Of House Democrats Announce Retirement From Congress Igor Bobic Various veteran lawmakers deciding to call it quits may not bode well for Democrats as they seek to retain control of the House in 2022. Three senior House Democrats announced plans to retire this month, a less-than-encouraging sign for the party’s hopes to retain control of the lower chamber next year. The latest announcements came Monday from Reps. David Price (N.C.), a senior member on the House Appropriations Committee, and Mike Doyle (Pa.), a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee chairman. House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) announced his plans to retire last week. Price, 81, is stepping down after more than 30 years of representing North Carolina in Congress. Doyle, 68, is also a longtime House member who was first elected in Pennsylvania in 1994. The decision by the veteran members of Congress who hail from battleground states to call it quits doesn’t bode well for Democrats as...

Joe Biden Says Kyrsten Sinema Doesn't Back Raising ‘A Single Penny’ In Taxes On Wealthy Igor Bobic

Joe Biden Says Kyrsten Sinema Doesn't Back Raising ‘A Single Penny’ In Taxes On Wealthy Igor Bobic “When you have 50 Democrats, every one is the president," the president said of his party's narrow majority in the Senate in a town hall. 10/21/2021 09:23pm EDT President Joe Biden on Thursday confirmed that Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) stood in the way of raising taxes on corporations and wealthy Americans as a way to pay for his programs to expand the social safety net and fight climate change. “She’s smart as the devil,” Biden said at a CNN town hall in Maryland. “She’s very supportive of the environmental agenda in my legislation.... Where she’s not supportive is she says she will not raise a single penny on taxes for the corporate side and/or on wealthy people, period. And that’s where it sort of breaks down.” Democrats had planned to increase the top individual and corporate tax rates, partially reversing changes Republicans made in their 2017 tax law. Those changes ...

Dianne Feinstein and Alex Padilla’s letter links the crisis to the need to pass President Joe Biden’s “so-called” infrastructure bill that includes day care and climate change provisions “to ensure supply chains are more resilient to interruptions.” “They also noted that the backlog not only has the potential to delay critical deliveries for businesses and consumers, but also may have played a role in the recent oil spill off the coast of Orange County as container ships are...

President Ibrahim Abboud is a leader or a military coup in Sudan The Sudanese army is the first political institution in Sudan. (1) Written by / Hatem Babiker Awad Karim Mahl.  The stubborn facts confirm that the Sudanese army is the only Sudanese national institution that was established by a political decision and a strategic vision and bears in its genesis the characteristics of the Sudanese nation-building project - it was founded in 1925 AD after the 1924 movement - after the Anglo-Egyptian partnership was dissolved and the review of the dual-rule agreement 1900 AD - it was established to build a Sudanese state Preserving regional balance in central, eastern and North Africa, and guarding the Red Sea. The rescue system has worked hard to transform, tame and dismantle it. Salvation was unable to modify its national creed and national intention and diminish its role in the region and the world. Like all the armed movements that made a specialty and fought it since August ...

Nuclear Radiation – Incompatible with Life by Christina MacPherson

Nuclear Radiation – Incompatible with Life by Christina MacPherson Eiichiro Ochiai - from  Nuclear Issues  in the  21st Century  - Invisible Radiation Effects on Life,As argued in this whole book, the basic reason for “NO NPP on the Earth” is “Radiation is Not Compatible with Life”.  What this means is that life cannot defend itself against the damaging effects of radiation.   This has been true throughout the whole history of life on earth, though such effect by the naturally occurring radiation is minimal, and cannot be identified as such unless careful and systematic studies are conducted.  This issue is discussed in chapter 11.  The radiation effects on human health have increased since the human started to add radioactive materials artificially to the environment.  This is a fact, and needs to be recognized by the entire human race, Very Small Quantity of Radioactive Nuclides can be Lethal  It was argued in section xxx w...

Details of the intervention by Israeli consular officials, in what has been slammed as another example of the gross interference by a foreign state, were reported by the Intercept. Israeli consular officials in the southeast US arranged meetings with a dean at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to remove graduate student, Kylie Broderick, from teaching the history department course called 'The Conflict over Israel/Palestine'. Details of the visit by Israeli officials are said to have been exposed by two UNC professors who had knowledge of the meeting. The intervention by the Israeli officials followed a pressure campaign by right-wing pro-Israel websites and an advocacy group who pointed to postings Broderick ha...
