The nuclear agreement, formally entitled "Joint Comprehensive Action Plan", was concluded on July 14, 2015, between Iran on the one hand and the "5 + 1" group, which includes all five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Russia, the United States, China Britain and France, as well as Germany, on the other hand, in the framework of international efforts to resolve the issue of Tehran's nuclear file, which lasted for many years.
The countries that signed the document on January 16, 2016, announced the launch of the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan, which calls for lifting the sanctions imposed on Iran over its past nuclear activities, in exchange for Tehran limiting the scope of its nuclear program and placing it under full monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency .
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the United Nations have repeatedly stressed that the Iranian government is committed to the deal, warning the US administration of the serious consequences of its withdrawal from the nuclear deal, while other countries involved in the deal repeatedly called on the United States to stay in the agreement.
