Al-Sisi: "A country with a population of 350 thousand"
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi compared his country's population of 100 million to an unnamed state with a large budget and few people.
"Egypt has a population of 100 million, spending a trillion dollars a year ... and we have received a trillion pounds through the advances," he said at the conclusion of the fifth youth conference "Ask the President." Look at our schools and hospitals and take care of us.
"When the events of 2011 (the January Revolution) took place, I said that it was because people did not realize the Egyptian reality."
He added: "There is a country with a population of 350 thousand people (and here I do not make fun of anyone), and its budget is 50 billion dollars, about 850 billion pounds, we fold 50 times, and to suit them I need 40 trillion pounds .. Come to us and portray our homes" "(Say), and say, Look, O Egyptians, and you will guide us, and God, until we have died of hunger, we must break the poverty that we live, and tomorrow you see!"
